"Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best.
To be enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, to strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble."
~ Christian D. Larson

  1. Becoming one's inspiration is one way to change ourselves for betterment. Knowing that someone is looking up to us is one reason for us to become optimistic and enthusiastic in achieving our goals.

    1. I agree with you TLC to some extent. Indeed, it can be one of a good motivation for us to get our acts together and make better of ourselves. However, let us remember also that values are being caught and not being taught. Sometimes, despite having good motivation of setting an example to others we tend to focus our efforts towards the other, forgetting that we need to make better of ourselves for ourselves first. Hence, we need to remind ourselves frequently more than anything that whatever we do is for our own sake so as not to fall into prey of just merely "showing" the world how good we can be! Thanks for sharing your insight!
